Coming to Secondary School can be a significant time of change for young students many of whom come from the support & security of small rural Primary Schools. For many years Scoil Muire agus Padraig has had a Peer Mentoring scheme which entails senior students from 5th Year being entrusted with the task of giving their time, encouragement and support to the incoming First Years in order to ensure that the Transition from Primary to Secondary School is as smooth as possible for them.
