On the 11th March 2011, three Fifth Year students from Scoil Muire agus Padraig, Swinford, took part in an EU debate in Dublin Castle. The girls represented Estonia in the mock Council which saw 29 schools from around Ireland participating. The girls opposed the motion that the maternity leave in Europe should be extended to encourage women to return to the work place. Well done to Charlotte Moore, Kelly Moore and Katie Sheedy who spoke eloquently and passionately on the day. They represented both the school and Estonia superbly!
