Scoil Muire agus Padraig

Congratulations to Scoil Muire agus Padraig's LCA 2 budding broadcasters! Laurie Maynard, Jade Foy, Daniel Cassidy and CJ Moran with the guidance of their teacher Miss Costello created their own 30 second radio ad in conjunction with " Le Crunch Sound Bites" for the National Student Radio Awards.

The music students wrote and recorded their 30 second radio ad in the form of a rap focusing on nature and the healthy food it provides for us. The ad was for Le Crunch Apples.

They were short-listed to the final four entries out of all the West of Ireland and were interviewed live on air on i102-104 radio station and the ad was played during Le Crunch week in March. Later the school was delighted to be informed that the group were overall winners. The winning team have won a state of the art Archos 7o Android Internet Tablet for each team member, plus a €1000 prize fund for multimedia equipment for the school. Well done to all!
