Ceist - Trusteeship of Scoil Muire agus Padraig.

Since St. Mary's Secondary School in Swinford was opened by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906 the responsibility for the school's ongoing educational service has rested with the Sisters as Trustees. Since 2007 the Mercy Sisters have transferred the trusteeship of their secondary schools to a new Trustee body called CEIST- Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust.

CEIST has as its aim to continue to nurture & support the Catholic Ethos of the schools in its care so that a values-based education can continue to be available as a choice to parents and young people in the Irish educational system.

The Management of Scoil Muire agus Padraig is confident that under the Trusteeship of Ceist the school will continue its long tradition of excellence and pastoral care for all.
