Swinford students are Handball Champions.
Two students from Scoil Muire agus Padraig Swinford -Shane McDonnell and Shane McHugh- won the Connaught title in U14 Handball Doubles in Williamstown Co Galway recently.

North Connacht Schools Track and Field.
Congratulations and well done to the students from Scoil Muire agus Padraig Swinford on their performances in both individual and team events in the North Connacht Schools Track and Field competitions held in Sligo on May 2nd last. These athletes now progress to the Aviva Connacht Schools Track and Field Finals in Athlone IT on Thursday May 17th.
Kevin Hastings : 1st in 100m and High Jump
Jordan Tunney : 1st in 1500m
Michaela Walsh : 1st in Shot Putt
Aisling Forkan : 1st in 100m and 800m
Christopher O'Sullivan : 1st in 800m and James Devaney : 2nd in 800m
Tadhg McGinty : 1st in 1500m
Orla McCann: 2nd and Aoife McCann 3rd in 1500m
Anna Tierney ; 4th in Hurdles
The following Relay Teams also progress to compete in Athlone IT on May 17th :
Junior Girls, Minor Girls, Senior Girls and Junior Boys.
